I grew up with Dragon Ball and my sister grew up with Pokémon, so I know most of the Pokémon stuff through my little sister. Back in the day, I had a N64, and we bought Pokémon Stadium for her. My friends asked me to play a Pokémon game, since I never played any of the classic RPG games. I wasn’t sure what game to start with, since I don’t like the designs of the newer Pokémon, but I also like a bit of variety. Pokémon Black and White, for the Nintendo DS, seemed a good place to start. It had the first few generations, but it also had some Pokémon that I had never seen before.

I have to be honest, I didn’t care much for the story, but I did really enjoy collecting all the Pokémon. Trying to figure out the strengths and weaknesses of each Pokémon was also more fun than I expected. As a new player, it can be challenging to try and remember all the strengths and weaknesses of each character, because some of these character traits don’t make a lot of sense.

I completed the main story of the game. There was supposed to be 4 more bosses, but I had to do a lot of grinding in order to complete those too, so I skipped them.
